September 18, 2023The Knoxville Track Club is looking for individuals to serve on its Board of Directors who are enthusiastic about our running community and encouraging lifelong physical well-being through running and walking. We are actively seeking individuals with a passion in the following areas:
- Road or Trail (Running competitively, socially, or for health and wellness)
- Track & Field
- Volunteerism
- Timing
While individuals from any professional background are welcome to apply, we hope to supplement our current skill set with individuals in the following fields:
- Finance/bookkeeping/accounting
- Legal
- Development/nonprofits/
community service/partnerships - Marketing/social media
The Board of Directors meets on the fourth Monday of each month at 6 p.m. Each director serves a three-year term. Additional information about the commitment is attached in the KTC Board of Directors Job Description. If you are interested in serving on the Knoxville Track Club Board of Directors, please email Christina Adkins at secretary@ktc.org on or before 5:00 p.m. Friday, October 15, 2023 with the following information:
1. Background about yourself (career, special skills/training, running background, etc.)
2. KTC membership and involvement
3. A brief statement of why you would like to be on the board
4. A brief statement describing what you can bring to the board.
5. Include a statement acknowledging you have reviewed the Job Description and can meet the expectations.
