DESCRIPTION
What a better way to enjoy Thanksgiving than with a Run/ Walk the morning before the feast!
2021 will be this event’s inaugural year being offered to the growing community of Hardin Valley and beyond. Runners, walkers and any pace in between are welcome to join. Race will begin promptly at 8:00am Thanksgiving morning on November 25th and will begin from Hardin Valley Academy (HVA) and will follow campus and other local roads and will finish in football stadium on the Turf! Little Hawk Kids One Mile Run will start at 7:30 children under 10 years old who wish to register Kids race will cap at 100 runners).
Course will feature some flat, some light rolling hills and will spark a walk down memory lane for any student of the Hardin Valley school system trekking along roads that connect all schools together from High – Middle – Elementary before returning back to finish at the High school Football/ Track stadium! 5K Course will be USATF Certified: Certification Pending. Course Map will be posted once course certification is complete.
Packet pick up will be available Wednesday evening at HVA from 5:00pm to 6:30pm, or, race morning on campus at the HVA football/ track complex beginning at 6:30am. Restrooms will be available on site near the start/Finish area in the stadium as well as in academic building(s). Water table will be available at half way point of the race.
Awards will be awarded to top top 3 per gender over-all, top 3 per gender in 10-year increments, top master runner (over 40) per gender (no double awards for overall and age group). All runners in 1-mile run will receive a finisher medal.
Registration fees will increase for both events starting November 1st, so register early for premier pricing!
