DESCRIPTION
This challenging race features a certified Marathon, Half Marathon and 5K. The Full and Half Race starts in Lenoir City, TN and ends in Loudon, TN. Runners will experience grand views of countryside, rivers as they cross bridges, and hometown hospitality. This race is not for the faint of heart. Rolling hills are the mainstay. If you don’t think you are up for Widow Maker Hill at Mile 22 – well, there’s no shame in admitting that you just ain’t got it. So Ladies and Gentlemen – it’s time to feel the LoCo!!!
RACE REQUIREMENTS
You must be at least 6 years of age to register and compete in the 5K and at least 17 years of age to register and compete in the marathon and half marathon. The marathon and half marathon course will be promptly reopened to traffic at 2:00 pm (6 hours after the start of the race.) There will not be any support for runners or walkers along the race course after 2:00 pm. Race timing will be until 2:00 pm. The 5K Course will be promptly reopened to traffic at 9:45 am ( 90 minutes after the start of the race) There will not be any support for runners or walkers along the race course after 9:45 am. Dogs, vehicles to transport children, baby carriers, bicycles, skates, and skateboards, are strictly prohibited.
RACE ENTRY REGULATIONS
Entry fees are NON-TRANSFERABLE and NON-REFUNDABLE.
You must be at least 6 years old to run the 5k and at least 17 years old to run the Marathon or Half Marathon.
You must be in good health and physically prepared to run the race.
A race bib is required to run the race. You must wear the bib that you are assigned.
Race Officials have the right to remove participants who do not comply.
NO dogs, vehicles to transport children, baby carriers, bicycles, in-line skates or skateboards.
Race Officials have the right to disqualify or remove from the course any participant whose activity violates any condition set forth or who poses any harm to himself/herself or any other participant.
PARKING & BUS DEPARTURE FOR THIS POINT-TO-POINT COURSE
Runners will park in downtown Loudon, in designated areas, use address 201 Alma Place, and full/half runners will be bused to the starting line Located at Creekwood Park Boulevard, Lenoir City, Tn 37772. Due to a shortage of parking at the start, we strongly recommend parking in the designated area at the Finish Line and making use of the transportation provided. You will be directed where to park and where to go to load the buses. Buses will leave approximately every 30 minutes beginning at TBD with the last bus leaving at 7:00 AM. It is about a 30 minute trip to Lenoir City and the start line. Based on the weather conditions, the buses may be used as warming areas prior to the start. Buses will not be returning to the start area. The Race will start promptly at 8:00am, so please plan accordingly. Runners are encouraged to arrive at the bus pickup area 15 minutes prior to their desired departure time to allow sufficient time for last-minute preparation and boarding the buses. If you chose to make your own way to the starting area, it will be your responsibility to return to your vehicle after the race.

The Run LOCO Marathon, Half Marathon, & 5K Run offers results text messaging capability. The event offers this capability at no charge to the participants. If the participant does not have a data plan from their phone service, there may be a charge from their phone server for data transfer. If in doubt about your data plan, you should check with your phone service provider before selecting this option.

RACE PROCEEDS BENEFICIARY
What is the Loudon County Education Foundation? The Loudon County Education Foundation offers scholarships to students, and classroom grants to teachers, conducts the annual Young Achievers Award Ceremony, holds an annual essay contest for grades 3 – 8 and facilitates funding for other programs for both the City and County school systems. We are the host organization for Imagination Library in Loudon County and Leadership Loudon County is also a part of the excellent package of programs offered by the Education Foundation. The Education Foundation is an important resource for our community.
