The Trails That Can’t Be Concord
DATE TIME PLACE: Sunday, August 4, 2024. 8:00 am. Kids run 7:30.
COURSE DESCRIPTION: A wild and wooly course of roughly 5½ miles (stay tuned for updates here), and a fast and furious Kids Trail Mile all await participants at this year’s Trails That Can’t Be Concord. Details and course map to be posted as soon as finalized.
DIRECTIONS: Take I-40 to Campbell Station Rd, exit and head south. Cross Kingston Pike and continue to the roundabout junction with Northshore Drive. Turn right and go 1.3 miles. Parking will be available on the left and/or right. Watch pre-race email for details on this.
REGISTRATION AND FEES (NO REFUNDS AND NO BIB TRANSFERS): Fee: $20.00 for online preregistration. KTC discount code accepted. $10.00 for students 14 and younger. KIDS TRAIL RACE: Kids will run a moderately hilly and truly fun out and back course of about a mile.
T-SHIRTS: Special limited edition T-shirts will be printed for the series. This is the same shirt as at all other Treadin’ Trodden Trails races; one shirt per runner PER SEASON please. Taking multiple shirts minimizes monies we are able to donate to trail friendly causes.
TTT SERIES AWARDS: This year we’ll be awarding the top 3 in each division free race entries: 1st gets the full monty, all 12 races, 2nd gets the 9 race series, and 3rd gets entry into 6 races. Additionally we’ll hold a drawing so that two lucky runners get a pair of shoes, thanks to the generous sponsorship of Runners Market. We’ll once again be presenting the awards at the annual KTC Holiday Party in December. Reminder, to qualify for series awards (and free shoes!), you’ll need to be a member of KTC, and you will need to have volunteered two times during the course of the 2023 TTT series. There’s still lots of time to get those volunteer points in – and a big thank you to all of the vols so far.
