History of KTC Trail Racing
Since 2004, KTC has offered a slate of offroad races designed to both challenge veteran trail runners and entice and nurture newcomers to the sport, presenting a comprehensive schedule of off road events to attract larger crowds and bring trail running to the forefront of running consciousness. Since then the series has expanded to a dozen or more races annually at not only city and county parks, but state and regional parks throughout East Tennessee.
The Knoxville Track Club is a member of the American Trail Running Association (ATRA), and all of our Treadin’ Trodden Trails events meet the ATRA event standards.
As always, our season is dedicated to our brother and fellow Trail Committee member, Kerry Trammell, who passed away on January 10, 2013.
VOLUNTEERING: We value volunteerism highly. Volunteering is required for placement in the TTT Grand Prix Rankings. In order to qualify for a Grand Prix award, runners must also volunteer for a minimum of two events. Each race has opportunities for both race participants and support personnel. Tasks can be found and selected on individual Runsignup race pages.
